Yellow crush

This week I have become consumed by the colour yellow.  As I stood in my kitchen doing the washing up this morning I started to note everything that was yellow.  My rubber gloves, lemons and bananas in the fruit bowl, our big yellow sign and yellow painted chairs, a vase of daffodils and the primroses just outside the window in their flowerbeds.  A quick look round the kitchen and I was amazed at some of the every day bits I found that normally I wouldn't pay much attention to.

Some days when you feel like your life is not as colourful as some of those amazing instagram feeds we all see; just stop and take a look at what we have right in front of us.  My love for yellow is long standing.  When I was younger at college I used to rock up wearing the most amazing bright yellow patent clogs, (I wonder what happened to them!).  Everyone thought I was mad; buy boy did I love those shoes.  More recently my love for yellow started when I came across a yellow coat in Zara.  Unfortunately because of my colouring's yellow doesn't suit me, it makes me look really sallow but this hasn't stopped my zest for everything yellow.

The coat that started the recent Yellow Crush
I was amazed to find that you can still get something similar to my patent yellow clogs from my youth.

I love this cute little summer dress.

I had fun putting together my Yellow Crush selection.  I hope you enjoyed it too.  If you want to see some more of my colour selections then you can follow me on pinterest.

If you missed last weeks Watermelons everywhere you can catch up here.
